A 20-year-old Australian tuna fisher got more than he bargained for when he pulled a 10-foot Mako shark on deck.

He stepped on it’s tail and it turned around and bit his calf to the bone. The shark did not let go until deskhands cut it’s head off several minutes later, and he was airlifted to the Gold Coast Hospital. Before surgery, he was reported to be stable.
