One of the world’s largest recorded coral dieoffs is occurring right now. But its not our fault.

The 2005 Indonesian earthquake raised most of a 190 mile long coastline nearly 4 feet out of the water. (Coral requires water to live, as you probably know.) The coral below the surface, if treated gently, will recover just fine and the exposed coral will likely become coastal forests.
