Scubafriends Network

Lets get together and hit a class or two before the next trip. I’m thinking about SeaSigns, which we’d probably have to do in a self/group study format. (I don’t think there are standard classes near DC, although I have a request in to find out.) The other class is Nitrox, which Annapolis Scuba will run with 4-6 people. (I think we can get that together without trouble.) Thoughts?

Remember when your instructor (or a friend, or someone online) said, half-jokingly, that your no-deco time at 15 feet was measured in weeks? These divers may not have been down that long, but it was long enough to set a record (pending validation). The two divers stayed under for 24 hours using standard scuba gear. Although the usual practice is 5 minute breaks once per hour, the divers elected to stay under with no breaks at all. In order to raise £1,000 for charity, the divers submerged on Sat, Aug 19 and emerged on Sunday. More information is available from Cyprus Mail and Dive Magazine.
